Application:
Induced overvoltage withstand test set, also called induced voltage induced frequency test set, Double voltage & double frequency test set, DVDF motor generator test, Motor generator tests, or High frequency generator.
The test set provides a continuously variable output voltage at double or Three times frequency to test transformer insulation performance between turns of coils, layer to layer.
Model DVDF 50 series test set suit for capacity ≤5000KVA Transformer.
The set composed of:
-3-phase squirrel cage asynchronous motor, rated frequency, 50Hz, one piece
-3-phase synchronous generator, rated frequency, 100Hz or 150Hz or 200Hz,one piece
-Control module function: motor start up device, generator parameters display, generator exciting adjust and exciting parameters display, generator protection.etc.
The motor and generator are positioned on the same one pedestal, and connected with steel couples. The exciting system is integrated into the generator.
Working Principle:
While this motor drives the synchronous generator up to rated rotate speed, input exciting current (DC) to the generator wind’s .Since generator’s rotor is running, therefore, the generator will output electricity. Output voltage change with exciting current.
How connection:
An alternating voltage of sine wave form (as much as possible) at double frequency (100 Hz.) and double voltage in amplitude is applied at one side of the transformer under test while the windings, which are not connected to the source of excitation, are left on open circuit. This higher frequency is considered to avoid excessive excitation current during the testing.
